Newcastle prepare €20m record breaking January bid for 24-goal star striker Cenk Tosun – Tottenham also interested
Newcastle United are ready to step up their interest in the Turkish star striker Cenk Tosun.
The 26-year-old has been on fire recently having scored three goals in three UEFA Champions League games. Tosun netted an impressive 24 goals in all competitions for the Black Eagles last season.
According to CNNTurk, Newcastle United are prepared to smash their transfer record in order to land the star striker in January.
Per the source, the Magpies have set aside £17.5 million as they attempt to lure Tosun away from Besiktas.

The valuation is close to the £20 million price tag set by Besiktas president Fikret Orman.
The bid would break Newcastle’s current transfer record which sits at £16 million for Michael Owen from Real back in 2005.
Meanwhile, Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik states that both Tottenham and Everton are already in talks with Tosun’s representatives in Germany.
