Manchester City star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been recalled to the Germany national team following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 27-year-old hasn’t featured for German for over 12 months following a serious injury. Gundogan suffered a knee ligament injury last December and only returned to first-team action last month.
Germany boss Joachim Low has recalled Gundogan to his squad for their exhibition clash against England.
Gundogan took to social media to express his delight upon being called up. “Excited to be back in the German squad along with this great lad.”
