“you normally leave for a bigger club” – Owen sends blunt warning to Liverpool contract rebel
Former Liverpool star striker Michael Owen has sent out a warning to contract-rebel Emre Can.
The 24-year-old Germany international has entered the final eight months of his contract with Liverpool. Can could end up leaving the club for free next summer unless a new deal can be agreed.
Serie A giants Juventus have been linked with a move for the combative midfielder in recent weeks.
However, Owen has warned Can against a move away from the club, stating that he will struggle to find a better club than Liverpool.

“When you run your contract down, you normally leave for a bigger club.”
Can has been in impressive form for Liverpool in recent weeks and scored for the Reds during their 3-0 win over Maribor.
Jurgen Klopp’s side recorded a 3-1 win over West Ham United over the weekend and take on Southampton in their next Premier League fixture.
