Real Madrid want 17-goal Liverpool star confirms former Orduspor manager
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been in great form since joining the Premier League giants from Roma over the summer.
Salah has 17 goals and five assists in 22 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.
The Egypt international has been so impressive that Real Madrid have expressed an interest.
Orduspor fans will be familiar with Hector Cuper from his time coaching the Turkish side but he is now in charge of the Egypt national side.
Cuper was never one for keeping quiet and it appears things have not changed in his new job.
The head coach revealed that Real are keen on his star man.
“I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah, but let’s not rush things,” he told ON Sport TV in Egypt.
“To me, he is in an amazing position right now.”
The 25-year-old joined Liverpool on a £36.9million move over the summer on a five-year deal.
The winger is the highest scoring Premier League player with 12 goals this campaign – more than any other Reds player since Luis Suarez left for Barcelona.
Despite Liverpool beating Brighton 5-1 at the Amex Stadium on Satuday Salah did not add to his goal tally, he did however, provide an assist.
The victory took the Reds into 4th place on 29 points.
