Man City team news: Pep Guardiola faces midfield headache with star midfielder facing battle for full fitness ahead on Man United clash
Manchester City will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on their biter rivals Manchester United this weekend.
The clash takes place at Old Trafford on Sunday while kick-off is scheduled for 16:30 (GMT).
Pep Guardiloa’s side suffered their first defeat of the season against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesdays night. However, the Spanish tactical did field a weakened squad.

Guardiola has warned that Spain international David Silva could be ruled out of Sunday’s clash. The star playmaker picked up an injury during City’s win over West Ham United.
Meanwhile star defender John Stones will miss this weekend’s derby due to injury. Summer signing Benjamin Mendy will also miss out with a knee injury which will keep him out the remainder of the season.
Germany international Ilkay Gundogan is expected to be rested this weekend after playing the full 90 minutes in the UEFA Champions League earlier this week.
