Man City reveal squad ahead of Man United derby, defensive duo ruled out but Gundogan makes the cut
Manchester City will make history if they beat rivals Manchester United in the derby clash at Old Trafford on Sunday.
City will equal the Premier League record of 14 wins in a row, set by Arsenal between February and August 2002 if they beat United.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola has David Silva return to the squad after recovering from a knock which forced him to miss the Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk.
City are coming off the back of their first defeat of the season against Shakhtar but Guardiola did rotate his side.
The Premier League leaders had already ensured passage into the Last 16 as group leaders.

“He is going to play,” Guardiola said of Silva.
“The doctor told me at the beginning of the week there was a doubt about him playing that’s why I said what I said but today he arrived and said he is really good so he is going to play.”
Star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has also made the squad after getting his first Premier League start of the season last week against Southampton.
The midfielder of Turkish origin also got the nod mid-week in Ukraine.
Meanwhile left-back Fabian Delph has recovered from a sickness bug and Vincent Kompany has made the squad despite being a doubt.
Meanwhile defenders John Stones (hamstring) and Benjamin Mendy (knee) are still out and will both miss the clash.
