Chelsea & Newcastle may have to wait until the summer to transfer £30m target
Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun has been closely linked with a January exit following interest from several clubs including Chelsea and Newcastle.
Turkish-Football have repeatedly reported of the Magpies interest.
The Premier League outfit have been keeping close tabs on Tosun scouting him throughout the season.
Chelsea meanwhile have also been monitoring the 26-year-old according to Besiktas club secretary Ahmet Urkmezgil.
Urkmezgil was quoted by Turkish-Football as saying: “Cenk has come so far, he is a great player who has reached the highest level.
“Chelsea sent club officials and a scouting team to watch him during the derby.”
Tosun meanwhile has revealed that he wants to stay at Besiktas over the winter break and win his third successive league title.

“I have heard about the offers, obviously it is great to know but I still have a mission to complete here,” Tosun said.
“I want to win a third successive championship before doing anything else.
“We will discuss the offers at the end of the season.”
The Turkish international will also get the chance to compete in the Champions League Last 16 for the first time when his side take on Bayern Munich.
The star striker has directly contributed to 15 goals goals in all competitions this season – 12 goals and three assists.
Tosun has four goals and two assists in the Champions League this season – a club record.
The Germany born striker has two years remaining on his contract and is valued as being worth £30m by the Black Eagles.
