Chelsea & Everton Will Need To Match €40m Asking Price If They Want Champions League Star Striker
Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun has attracted widespread interest from across Europe after lighting up the Champions League and Super Lig this season.
The Black Eagles became the first Turkish side to book a place in the Champions League Last 16 as group leaders.
Tosun helped his side to finish Group G as undefeated leaders on 14 points scoring four goals and provided two assists
The 26-year-old was directly involved in six of the Istanbul giants 11 goals in the group stage.
Besiktas face a tough test in the Last 16 after drawing Bayern Munich.
The club do not want to lose key players over the winter transfer window and have increased Tosun’s valuation to €40 million as a result according to the Hurriyet.
The Turkish international was valued as being worth €20 million at the start of the season and narrowly missed out on joining Crystal Palace.

A source close to Besiktas revealed to Turkish-Football that several Premier League sides including Everton, Tottenham, Everton, Newcastle United and Chelsea have scouted Tosun this season.
Besiktas club secretary Ahmet Urkmezgil publicly stated that the Blues have been keeping tabs on the striker.
“We have no plans to sell Cenk Tosun, will this be the case in the future? that we don’t know, it may chance,” Urkmezgil said.
“Our current stance is clear, we want Cenk to stay on.”
In total Tosun has 13 goals and three assists in all competitions for the reigning Super Lig champions.
Tosun was also awarded the Goal of the Group Stage for the second season running by UEFA.
