Arsenal Team News: Wenger reveals why summer signing has been dropped, Gunners missing key midfielder ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on their London rivals Crystal Palace in the Premier League tonight.

The Gunners came back from 2-0 down against Liverpool last week to salvage a point with a 3-3 draw.

Crystal Palace meanwhile have rapidly moved up the table following the appointment of Roy Hodgson as manager. The Eagles are unbeaten in their last five games.

Arsenal team news:

Germany international Mesut Ozil is expected to keep his place in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven. The star playmaker has been in impressive form of late and has scored in back-to-back games.

The Gunners will, however, be without Aaron Ramsey who is recovering from a hamstring injury. Olivier Giroud meanwhile has returned to light-training but is still a doubt for tonight’s game.

Summer signing Sead Kolasinac could end up starting the second game in a row on the bench. The Bosnian international last started a Premier League clash against Southampton on December 10th.

Wenger revealed that he has given Kolasinac a breather and that he is more suited to wing-back role rather than a full-back in a 4-2-3-1 system.
