£42m Arsenal star including in Barcelona’s top five January targets, Liverpool’s Coutinho dropped
La Liga leaders Barcelona have been linked with a move for Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The Germany international’s Arsenal future is still cast in doubt after failing to pen a new contract with the north London based club.
Ozil has entered the final six months of his contract and could end up leaving the club for free next summer.
According to the Spanish outlet MARCA, Ozil is one one of the five players Barcelona have set their sights on. Per the source, the La Liga giants are looking to add creativity to their squad over the January transfer window.

Interestingly, Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho was not included in the five-man list.
The list also includes Schalke’s Max Meyer and Leon Goretzka, Lyon star Nabil Fekir and CSKA Moscow’s Aleksandr Golovin.
Mesut Ozil made the move to Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42.5 million back in September 2013.
The 29-year-old has scored 36 goals and produced 62 assists in 177 appearances, scored 36 goals and produced 62 assists for Arsenal.
