Let’s just say City fans were mightily impressed with Gundogan’s display.

Gundogan is a fantastic player, turns up when it matters, technique is superb, his reading of the game is elite. #MCFC

And to think… Gundogan is considered a bench player. City have pretty impressive depth, perhaps the deepest squad in the Premier League.
So many positives today
Sane – 1 assist and 1goal
Aguero – 2 goals
Gundogan – 2 assists
Bernando – 1 goal+ a very solid display by both Zinchenko and Danilo and arguably a motm performance by Gundogan. Crazy how all 3 are our bench players.

If Pogba just dropped that performance Gundogan did you’d have Journaliste and KingMartiaI posting GIFs of it for the next week straight
— Jake (@KDB17i) January 6, 2018
If Pogba done what Gundogan did, United fans would tweet shit like “Pogba is a fast thinker, but his name isn’t De Bruyne so it doesn’t count ???”

Xavi-esque.
Omggg look at Gundogan, balling like a prime Xavi ??

Interesting!
That assist from Gündogan is hardly a surprise: He was a #10 throughout his youth & at Nürnberg. Klopp may have converted him to an #8 (and he was without doubt the best #8 in the 2012-13 CL), but he never lost that creative flair

Should Gundogan be a No 10? the midfielder put on an impressive display as an attacking midfielder, will Pep Guardiola keep him in the same role moving forward.
Anyone else think Gundogan is actually better at number 10?
