Photo: Everton Reveal Striker’s New Shirt Number, Cenk Tosun Will No Longer Wear Michael Jordan Inspired No 23
Everton have revealed which shirt number Cenk Tosun will be wearing this season.
Tosun will have to drop the Michael Jordan inspired No 23 shirt he grew to love at Besiktas for the number 14 in the Premier League.
Coincidently there have been 14 Turkish international players in the Premier League.
Another take on the number could be the following.
1 + 4 = 5
1 X 4 = 4
14 + 4 + 5 = 23
Or perhaps it was the only shirt number available.

Whatever the truth behind the decision, the No 14 shirt has been worn by some pretty impressive players.
Johan Cruyff popularised the number as did Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
Tosun is expected to make his debut against Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday 13 January.
