Man City Team News: Guardiola Makes Six Changes Ahead Of Liverpool Clash
Premier League leaders Manchester City will be hoping to beat Liverpool for the first time in 15 years at Anfield.
City boss Pep Guardiola has made six changes to the side that beat Bristol City in the Carabao Cup.
Ederson, Fernandinho, Nicolas Otamendi, Fabian Delph, Kyle Walker and Sergio Aguero all return to the starting line-up making up Guardiola’s six changes.
Aguero was expected to miss the clash with injury but has returned in time, David Silva meanwhile has been benched.
Ilkay Gundogan will support Kevin De Bruyne in attacking midfielder winger Raheem Sterling and forward Sergio Aguero out wide.
The midfielder of Turkish origin has been gaining increased playing time over recent weeks after making a full recovery from his knee injury earlier in the season.
Gundogan has started three of City’s last four games in all competitions – two of the Citizens last three in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old returns to the starting line-up in the Premier League after being benched against Watford last week.
