Man United transfer news: Euro giants join in race to sign West Ham’s Mexico international in January
West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has been linked with a move away from the London based club over the summer.
The daily Turkish newspaper Gunes have reported that the Black Eagles have set their sights on the Mexico international.
Besiktas are on the hunt for a new striker after offloading Cenk Tosun to Everton for a record fee. Tosun made his debut for his new club against Tottenham last week.
Per the source, Besiktas are interested in signing Hernandez on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy included.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have also been linked with a January move for Hernandez. The clinical striker previously played for Manchester United and was considered a star striker until Sir Ales Ferguson’s retirement.
Hernandez has fallen down the pecking order at West Ham since David Moyes’ appointment. The striker is currently behind Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll.
