Liverpool star Emre Can revealed he will stay at the club until the end of the season and has promised to give ‘his all’.

The midfielder of Turkish origin has put to bed rumours that he will be joining Juventus over the winter transfer window.

Can did not however, state what his plans are beyond the end of the season.

The 24-year-old underlined that his agent will sort out what happens next.

He told Sky Sports News: “I still have a contract here until the end of the season.

“I give everything for the club, I will try to give everything for the club.

“The rest is down to my agent, and I’m just responsible for performances on the pitch.

“Of course, if I have a contract I will always give my best, or I will try to give my best.”

The midfielder has kept his place as a first-team regular in Jurgen Klopp’s side throughout months of speculation over a January exit.

Can has been included in the Reds squad that will take on Swansea City on Monday and will be expected to start.

Juventus have not however, given up hope of signing the Germany international.

Juve chief Beppe Moratta revealed the club will do everything to sign the powerful midfielder as a free agent at the end of the season.

“For sure he is a great player and the fact that in June he can come for zero cost is a great opportunity for Juventus,” said Marotta, speaking to Sky, via La Gazetta dello Sport.

“Still nothing, we have linked contacts that will intensify in the coming weeks, but I exclude that he arrives in January.

“He would certainly fit into our midfield and we will do everything to try and get him, but [Claudio] Marchisio remains a very important player for us”.
