Galatasaray take on Osmanlispor at the Turk Telekom Arena on Saturday knowing a victory will – temporarily – take them above leaders Basaksehir.
The Lions will be without star midfielder Badou N’diaye who is on the verge of leaving the club.
The Istanbul giants released an official statement confirming the Senegal international has received offers.
The club released the following official statement: “Badou Ndiaye has received offers from clubs overseas. Badou has been removed from the squad set to face Osmanlispor as he is currently distracted from him on field duties by the transfer talks.”
Ndiaye left the Florya Galatasaray training grounds at midnight last night as a result of the latest developments.
The Daily Mail report that Stoke City, Newcastle United, Watford and Crystal Palace are also interested in the 27-year-old.
A source close to Galatasaray revealed to Turkish-Football that the Potters and Newcastle are closest to striking a deal.
The transfer is expected to be completed before the end of the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old has one goal and three assists in 17 appearances for the Lions in all competitions this season.
Selcuk Inan is expected to fill in for the Ndiaye who has been a first-team regular for the title challengers this season.
Manchester City loanee Jason Denayer is match fit but could find himself on the bench as Maicon returns from suspension.
