Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has decided to join West Brom on loan despite receiving interest from across Europe.
Sturridge joined the Baggies on a £3.8 million loan deal according to the Telegraph.
Per the source, Liverpool will receive a £2 million loan fee and West Brom will pay all his wages which amounts to a further £1.8 million.
Sturridge revealed that he joined the Baggies because he felt it was the ‘right fit’.
“This felt like the right fit,” he said upon signing on Monday evening. “I’ve got friends here I’ve played with before, the manager spoke very well, the challenge with the team and the style of play … I just felt this was the right fit for me.”
The England international was born in Birmingham so he will be returning home in a sense but he also had interest from abroad.

The Independent report that Inter Milan, Sevilla and Newcastle United also wanted the striker on loan.
Turkish-Football reported that Besiktas were also interested in bringing in Sturridge as a replacement for Cenk Tosun who joined Everton on loan over the winter transfer window.
Sevilla are currently 6th in the La Liga, Inter are 4th in the Serie A and Besiktas are just six points behind Super Lig leaders Basaksehir.
The Black Eagles have yet to find a replacement for Tosun but have added depth up front with the transfers of Vagner Love and Cyle Larin.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp rarely used Sturridge who fell further down the pecking order this season.
Sturridge had three goals and three assists in 14 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
