Man City Team News: Pep Guardiola Receives Boost Ahead Of Burnley Game But David Silva Could Be Out

Manchester City take on Burnley at Turf Moor in the Premier League on Saturday hoping to end a two game streak without a win on the road.

City are currently 15 points clear of second-placed Manchester United in the league table and could extend their lead further with a victory against Burnley.

Citizens manager Pep Guardiola could be without David Silva who was taken off during the first half against West From on Wednesday.

Silva remains a doubt for the Burnley clash.

Guardiola was however, given a boost in defence as John Stones made a recovery from the illness that ruled him out of the Baggies game.

January signing Aymeric Laporte is also eligible to make his debut after joining from Athletic Bilbao.

Guardiola will also have midfielder of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan available.

The 27-year-old was brought on for Silva in the 3-0 win over West Brom and is likely to start if the Spanish international does miss the clash.

Guardiola will definitely be without Gabriel Jesus who is out for another three weeks, while Leroy Sane is out for a minimum of sox weeks and Benjamin Mendy remains a long-term injury.

City will also be without Fabian Delph who has been out with a knee injury.
