Fatih Terim calls Hakan Çalhanoğlu back to the Turkish national team [divider]
Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu revealed that he has patched things up with Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim and returned to the Crescent-Stars setup.
“I spoke to Fatih Termin on the phone today. We had a very good talk. We have sorted it out,” Çalhanoğlu told Express.
“I am delighted that I’ll be playing for my home country again soon.”
Toprak, Çalhanoğlu and Töre were involved in an altercation last year which resulted in a gun being pulled on the Bayer duo.
Töre was reported to have had a fight with a friend of Toprak while a friend of the Beşiktaş winger held a gun to both Bayer players.
The incident sparked outrage but Terim has decided to forgive Töre at what seems the expense of Toprak and Çalhanoğlu.
Çalhanoğlu scored the winning goal against Juventus in the Champions League Last 16.
Terim attended the game at the BayArena stadium and held a meeting with Çalhanoğlu after the game.
