Arsenal and Liverpool prepared to meet Germany international’s £28m release clause

Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with a move for Hoffenheim star Kerem Demirbay.

The German playmaker has been linked with a move to England since the summer. Demirbay caught the attention of Premier League clubs after putting an impressive performance against the Reds during in the Champions League qualification stage.

According to the German outlet Bild, both Arsenal and Liverpool are among those chasing Demirbay’s signature.

Per the source, the Premier League duo are prepared to meet the 24-year-old’s £28 million release clause in the summer. The clause was inserted into Demirbay’s contract last year.

Demirbay has racked up five assists and two goals in 23 appearances for Hoffenheim this season. Liverpool’s rivals Everton have also been linked with a move for Demirbay in recent weeks.

Arsenal take on their bitter rivals Tottenham in their next Premier League fixture while Liverpool face Southampton.
