Tottenham beat Arsenal 1-0 at Wembley Stadium in the North London Derby on Saturday in the Premier League.
The Gunners ended up losing their first game at Wembley after a nine-match unbeaten streak.
Mesut Ozil also ended up losing his first game at Wembley in the process.
The playmaker of Turkish origin has won three FA Cup trophies at the same stadium but was unable to help his side get one over on bitter rivals Spurs.
We took a look at how fans reacted on social media to Ozil’s display.

Arsenal fans did not appear to be best pleased with Ozil’s display – or his teammates to be fair.
Where the hell was the “worldclass” Ozil today???
Serious question.— KIERAN SPURSLIFE (@gloryglorythfc1) February 10, 2018
Just turned over to Escape to the Country……… I found Ozil.

Arsenal have a front four of Aubameyang, Welbeck, Ozil and Lacazette.
AWOL. The most fitting acronym I’ve ever seen.

Was Ozil to blame? were any of the players to blame? or was this Arsene Wenger’s doing?
Just woke up. I think we Arsenal fans don’t deserve Lacazette, we don’t deserve Ozil, we don’t deserve Aubameyang, We don’t deserve Arsene Wenger. That’s it. We Arsenal fans are disgusting. If you can’t support a club on it’s bad run please find another sport. pic.twitter.com/fvYt8Azm17

All good things come to an end.
North London Derby.
Mesut Ozil has never lost a game at Wembley.
We don’t pay to pay at Wembley.

Ozil is a loser for signing that contract
— Olly (@GiroudesqueZ) February 10, 2018
Was Ozil playing for the contract?
Ozil picked up form for like 6 weeks, held Arsenal to ransom, signed a new £350k/wk contract, then switched back to #NoZeal.
Sharp guy!

Mesut Ozil got his pay rise and has gone back to his annul season nap

With the wealthy of do you guys think about playing a 1-1-8 or a 1-2-7?
I think we have to start to embrace our attacking DNA and set the team up appropriately. I’d go:
Cech
Kos
AMN
Jack, Ozil, Mkhitaryan, ramsey, iwobi, Danny, Lacazette, aubaMaybe away from home opt for more security & switch from the 118 to the 217. Bring in nacho for Danny

Hardcore banter.
Ozil issa a lucky guy.
Doubled his pay with the same level of performance.
He is really a magician

Shook. A big game and you can already see Ozil disappearing. pic.twitter.com/ufPWhldvCg

Ozil was so anonymous today, he even went missing during a full-time scuffle! #THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/5sNk5zWVmk

The same old arguments were back after the Tottenham defeat… you know… the ‘Ozil does not perform in big games’ rumour that we thought we heard the last of.
Ozil has great quality but utterly anonymous in another big game today. He wouldn’t be indulged at any other top PL club. #AFC
