As per usual, Mesut Ozil has been blamed for Arsenal’s defeat following the north London derby by BBC Pundit Danny Murphy.
The 29-year-old was included in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven for Saturday afternoon’s clash.
Ozil – who started out wide in an unfamiliar right-wing role – played the full 90 minutes but failed to stamp his authority on the game.
However, Danny Murphy blamed the Germany international for Tottenham’s opening goal.
While analysing the goal on Match of the Day, Murphy stated that opening derived from Ozil being slow to react to danger.
“They’re in a good position to start with… then Ozil should go out [to close the ball down] but he gets dragged in,” Murphy told BBC’s Match of the Day.
“When the ball does eventually come out to [Ben] Davies, [Granit] Xhaka tries to get across and could try and get there quicker.
“But Arsenal still aren’t in that bad a position with three versus two in the box.
“Week in week out away from home they’ve struggled and I’ve talked about them being all over the place but they weren’t here.

“But do you blame [Laurent] Koscielny or do you just say you’ve been beaten by a superb striker who is brilliant in the air.
“I think tactically Arsenal weren’t particularly at fault for the goal.”
Arsenal has failed to keep a clean sheet in their last nine games in the Premier League.
Ozil recently put pen-to-paper on a new three-year deal with Arsenal earlier this month. The 29-year-old is now the highest paid player in Arsenal’s history.
Arsene Wenger’s side are back in action on Thursday night in the Europa League when they take on Ostersunds FK.
