Oumar Niasse has established himself as a first-choice striker under Sam Allardyce at the expense of £27 million January signing Cenk Tosun.
Big Sam admitted that Niasse is currently first in line upfront and that Cenk Tosun is just going to have to be a ‘little bit more patient’.
The Senegal international has started the Toffees last three games and scored his seventh goal of the season in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The 27-year-old is averaging a goal every 120 minutes in the Premier League this season.
Niasse forced his way back into the side after coming off the bench to score in the 1-1 draw against West Brom.
The Baggies game was also the last match Tosun started since joining.

“The one thing he did, that he should have done against Leicester, was score,” Allardyce told the official Everton website. “It was a very good header at an important time.
“His hold-up play and his work-rate were good. He has got competition – obviously Cenk’s very disappointed that he is not playing – but when somebody up front is doing the job as well as he can and making an impression on the team, then Dominic and Cenk have to be a little bit more patient.
“Oumar’s goals-per-game ratio is good and he appears, at the moment, to be the best player to score goals for us.
“His contribution on Saturday helped us and, as a team, we now have to keep up that home form. The one thing we need to get better is the away results.”
Niasse has eight goals in 37 appearances for Everton in all competitions this campaign.
Calvert-Lewin has scored four league goals in 25 appearances, while Tosun is yet to get off the mark.
Tosun will have to try and win Allardyce back over if he wants to make his way back into the team and will have the chance to do so in the Toffees mini-break to Dubai.
The 26-year-old helped his former side Besiktas reach the Champions League Last 16 as group leaders, scoring twice and providing two assists.
The Black Eagles will take on Bayern Munich in the Last 16 first-leg tie in Germany next week.
