Man City star playmaker Ilkay Gundogan has urged cation despite his sides comfortable win over FC Basel in Switzerland.

The Germany international was included in Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven and played a starring role on the night. Gundogan netted a brace and played the full 90 minutes.

Gundogan praised his team via a post on social media but gently reminded everybody that it is still only the first leg.

“Great result, great teamplay and what a fantastic feeling to be on the scoresheet again. But it‘s only the first leg. We will stay focused,” the Man City star wrote on Instagram.
