Arsenal have entered negotiations with Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup’s representatives over a potential summer transfer.
Sources close to the Istanbul Giants have revealed to Turkish-Football.com that talks between the Gunners and Ozyakup’s camp are on-going.
Per the source, Besiktas are already making preparations to replace the midfielder playmaker over the summer.
Arsenal could end up signing Ozyakup for free as the midfielder’s contract with Besiktas expires at the end of the season.

The news comes amidst a report in the daily Turkish newspaper Aksam which states that Besiktas rejected a €7 million offer from Arsenal for Ozyakup.
Aksam goes onto state that Arsenal views Ozyakup as a replacement for Jack Wilshere. The England international’s contract with the Gunners expires in the summer.
Ozyakup came through the ranks at Arsenal but made the move to Besiktas back in 2014 in the search for first-team football.
Arsenal are back in action tomorrow when they take on Swedish side Ostersunds in the Europa League.
