It is no secret that Emre Can faces an uncertain future at Liverpool.
The midfielder of Turkish origin has just a few months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign an extension.
Despite this, Can has kept his cards open and have not ruled out staying on at Anfield.
Reds under-18 coach Gerrard has however, sparked controversy after saying live on BT Sport that the 24-year-old will be leaving.
The former Liverpool captain said: “You have to wait to see what’s going to happen because Emre Can is leaving and (Naby) Keita is coming in as a number eight.”
