Arsenal beat Ostersund 3-0 in the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg clash in Sweden on Thursday.
Mesut Ozil started his first Europa League game since joining Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013.
Arsene Wenger rotated his side heavily over the group stage but is now taking the competition far more seriously with it starting to turn into Arsenal’s most realistic chance of booking a place in the Champions League next season.
The playmaker of Turkish origin also ended up scoring over the course of the 90 minutes.
Ozil netted his first goal in the Europa League since August 2009 in Werder Bremen’s 2-0 win against Aktobe, precisely 3102 days ago.
