Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Galatasaray star Garry Rodrigues since the summer transfer window.
The pacy winger has been in impressive form for the Istanbul giants and scored during their comfortable 3-0 win over Antalyaspor last weekend.
According to the Turkish outlet Gunes, Galatasaray turned down a €8 million bid for Rodrigues from Newcastle back in January.
Per the source, manager Fatih Terim did not want to lose another star name after Badou Ndiaye joined Stoke City in the same month.
The report goes onto state that Galatasaray will only consider selling the Cape Verde international if a bid in the region of €16m is tabled.
Newcastle ended up signing Chelsea winger Kenedy on loan until the end of the season.
The Magpies have the weekend off after being knocked out of the FA Cup. Newcastle United’s next game is against Bournemouth in the Premier League on January 24.
