(Video) Arsenal star heaps praise on Swiss legend Roger Federer after world ranking update

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has heaped praised on the Swiss superstar tennis player Roger Federer after world No 1 return.

Federer beat Robin Haase in the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament last night. The victory means Federer will return to world No 1 when the ranking update on Monday.

Ozil took to social media to praise Federer after his win.

“Back to where he belongs at world number #1. Congratulations @RogerFederer” Ozil posted on Twitter.

Meanwhile, in a classy move Federer took to the social media after his win to joke about his record-breaking achievement.

“Apparently I’m the oldest tennis player with a #1 ranking. Somebody might have mentioned that to me already but I had a hard time hearing,” Federer posted.
