Arsenal January signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan believes he can thrive in the same team as Mesut Ozil at Arsenal.
The Armenian international has admitted that he cannot understand why some people believe there isn’t space for the duo in Arsene Wenger’s s starting eleven.
Mkhitaryan made the move to the north London based club last month from Manchester United in a deal which saw Alexis Sanchez go in the opposite direction.
The Armenia midfielder kicked off his Arsenal career in style with three assists on his debut during Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Everton.

“Some people are saying we cannot play together, but I can’t understand these people that are saying that,” Mkhitaryan told ESPN UK.
“I’m just enjoying playing with Mesut and he’s an amazing football player.
“I’m getting better playing with him, everyone knows his skills, abilities, so why not? Everything is possible, why not have two No. 10s on a pitch?
“You know, even if we [Arsenal] play very good, there’s always room for improvement — even if we were playing offensive football, we can still improve. I mean maybe we can improve in every aspect, it doesn’t matter if we are strong in one side and weak in the other — I think there are a lot of spaces for improvement.”
Mkhitaryan played a starring role during Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Ostersunds FK in the first leg last week.
The former Dortmund star is available for selection tonight, however, manager Arsene Wenger is likely to rest his star players with the cup final clash with on the horizon.
The Gunners take on league leaders Manchester City at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday, kick-off is scheduled for 16:30 (GMT).
