Everton spent last week on a warm-weather break in Dubai but Cenk Tosun made it clear that they were not on holiday.
Tosun underliend that they were in Dubai to train hard and he feels that the trip has really benefitted his settling in process.
The Turkey international revealed he has now adapted to the team and has bonded well with his teammates.
The 26-year-old believes the latest trip will help his chances of making it back into the first-team.
“We didn’t go to Dubai for sun and relaxation,” the 26-year-old said. “We trained hard, with sessions on the grass followed by gym sessions and then recuperation in the late afternoons. The temperatures were hot and we worked hard each day.
“Team-bonding is very important and getting to know your teammates as the people they are, as individuals.
“Spending every day around the guys means that we know one another better now. I’ve settled in very well, I really believe that. But the training camp in Dubai was perfect to help me adapt even further to my new surroundings, my new club, a new league. We had a lot of fun along with the serious work and I hope it will help me on the pitch for the next games. I believe it will.”

Tosun had been dropped for three games heading into the break, making way for Oumar Niasse.
The Senegal international scored and provided an assist in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace before the break and Sam Allardyce revealed he is currently first-choice up front.
Tosun will have to wait and see whether he will be able to convince Big Sam to change his mind.
The former Besiktas man will be available for the Toffees against Watford at Vicarage Lane on Saturday in the Premier League.
