Manchester City loanee Jason Denayer suffered a hamstring injury during the 2-1 defeat against Sivasspor at the start of the month.
The Belgium international was expected to be out for at least six-weeks.
The Lions feared he could be ruled out for much of the season which would have hurt his chances of making the World Cup squad for Belgium this summer in Russia.
The injury came at a critical time in the title race and Galatasaray have now lost their last two away games 2-1 since the injury – including the game he suffered the hamstring blow.
Denayer has however, returned to training sooner than expected.
The 22-year-old trained alone with the aid of a physiotherapist during the team training session at Florya on Wednesday.
The defender is expected to make a full recovery by early March.
Denayer had been in great form for Galatasaray, starting 12 of the Lions last 13 league games before his injury.
