Man City Reveal Squad Ahead Of Arsenal Clash – Guardiola Receives Double Boost

Manchester City take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 25 February.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is aiming to become the eighth different manager to win all three of the English top-flight trophies after Bill Nicholson, Joe Mercer, Don Revie, George Graham, Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish and Jose Mourinho.

Pep Guardiola meanwhile has triumphed in six of his last seven major domestic and European finals.

Guardiola received a double injury boost after forwards Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus recovered from their respective injuries.

Both players will travel with the squad but it is not certain whether they will be included in the matchday team.

The City boss will be without the suspended Fabian Delph which has resulted in a bit of a defensive headache.

Guardiola will have to pick between Oleksandr Zinchenko and Danilo.

Claudio Bravo will keep his place in goal as he has done in all domestic cup matches this term.

Ilkay Gundogan has made the squad and will be hoping to keep his place in the side after Guardiola waxed lyrical about him following the 4-0 win over Basel in the Champions League Last 16 first-leg in Switzerland.

Gundogan scored a brace for the Citizens.

David Silva is also in contention for a starting role in midfield and has also made the squad.
