Everton have joined the race to sign Galatasaray’s in-form star winger Garry Rodrigues.
The Cape Verde international has been linked with a move to Newcastle United in recent months. The Magpies even had a bid for the pacy midfielder rejected over the January transfer window.
However, according to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Everton have sent scouts to monitor Rodrigues. Per the source, Everton’s scouts were present during Galatasaray’s win over Bursaspor on Friday.
Rodrigues played a starring role during his sides emphatic 5-0 win. The Dutch-born winger scored his side’s second goal and provided two assists on the night.

According to the daily Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Galatasaray recently upped their asking price to €20 million.
The Lions are factoring in the Rodrigues’s form and the fact that his former club PAOK are due 20% of the transfer fee if the winger is sold.
The Cape Verde international has six goals and nine assists in all competitions for Galatasaray so far this season.
