Wesley Sneijder revealed he rejected Liverpool when leaving Inter Milan in 2013 for Galatasaray because he wanted to win trophies.
Sneijder admitted that many were surprised he opted to join the Lions but that he never regretted the decision.
The Reds have not won a trophy since 2013, the Dutch star did however, win two league titles, three Turkish Cups, three Super Cups at Galatasaray and helped the Lions reach the 2014-15 Champions League quarter-finals.
Sneijder went into depth about his thought process before leaving Inter in an interview with Qatar based channel Al Dawri.

“Many clubs wanted to know when I was leaving Inter, and Liverpool was one of those clubs, so people were surprised I have chosen Galatasaray,” he said.
“‘Why Galatasaray and not Liverpool?’ But I am a winner, I play for prizes, so I went to Galatasaray because I thought that I would win more at Galatasaray and be champion than at Liverpool, and I think afterwards that I made the right choice.
“I have had nice years in Turkey.”
Sneijder joined Al-Gharafa on a free transfer from Nice over the summer transfer window.
The playmaker has six goals and one assist in all competitions for the Qatar based side in all competitions this season.
