Juve CEO personally phoned Liverpool star on Friday to help seal transfer

Serie A giants Juventus are pushing to get the Emre Can transfer over the line.

The 24-year-old has been linked with an Anfield exit after failing to put pen-to-paper on a new deal. Can’s contract with Liverpool expires this summer meaning he is free to hold talks with foreign clubs.

However, the 24-year-old does not appear to be interested in signing on the dotted line with any club until the season is over as he is focused on achieving success with Liverpool.

Juventus are however keen to seal the deal before the season is up. According to Italian outlet Rai Sport, Juve CEO Giuseppe Marotta has contacted Emre Can’s agent in an attempt to speed up the deal.

Per the source, Marotta phoned Can’s representative on Friday to find out if a deal can be done in the near future.

The report goes onto state that Juventus are worried that Can could receive a superior offer from a Premier League club in the summer.
