The Last 16 second-leg ended in a goalless draw at Anfield Stadium on Tuesday.
Emre Can missed the first-leg due to suspension but he returned for the clash yesterday.
The midfielder of Turkish origin was expected to be rested with Jurgen Klopp having one eye on the derby against Manchester United over the weekend.
Klopp did however, decide to give Can a starting role.
The 24-year-old did not disappoint and put on an impressive display bossing the midfield.
He also pulled off this audacious nutmeg.
