Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz has upped the asking price his the Cape Verde international winger Garry Rodrigues.
The Dutch-born winger has been in impressive form for Galatasaray in recent weeks and played a starring role during the Lion’s 5-0 win over Karabukspor.
Both Newcastle United and Everton have been linked with moves for Rodrigues in recent months.
According to the Turkish outlet Futbol Arena, Galatasaray have raised Rodrigues’ asking price to €30 million.
Per the source, Newcastle tabled an €8 million offer for the 27-year-old over the January transfer window.

“I had an approach for Rodrigues one month ago. I wanted €30m,” Cengiz told Futbolarena.
Cengiz went onto state that he expects further bids to be made for the star forward and also tipped Turkish football in general for a big future.
“Turkey will be discovered within 3-5 years. The quality of the football played in Turkey is not far below Europe. We aren’t comparable to the English League but we will catch up with them.”
Rodrigues is expected to be back in action when Galatasaray take on Konyaspor in the Premier League. Newcastle United meanwhile face fellow relegation battlers Southampton.
