Everton striker Cenk Tosun scored his second goal in successive games after finding the back of the net against Brighton on Saturday.
Tosun netted his maiden goal at Goodison Park, finding the back of the net with a howitzer shot past Brighton keeper Mat Ryan, striking the crossbar before bouncing off the ground into the back of the net.
The Turkey international revealed that he actually had the weather to thank for his shot finding the back of the net.
Tosun believes that his shot went in off the bar because it was wet from the rain.
We aren’t going to get into a debate over the science of Tosun’s claims but it is an interesting theory.

“I scored my first goal for the Club last week but I was disappointed to lose the game – this week was better because we won,” he said after the game.
“I was worried it was going to hit the crossbar and bounce back out! Thankfully it was wet out there because that has helped the ball go in.”
Tosun underlined that he has got up to speed with the physical side of the game in the Premier League and that he hopes to build upon his impressive form.
“I feel good physically. I feel like I have settled into England as well and I hope I can keep going like this and keep scoring goals,” he added.
Tosun has scored two goals with his last three shots on target for the Toffees.
The 26-year-old has also created four-goal scoring chances over his past two matches.
The Turkey international has started Everton’s last two games after being benched for the previous four.
The Toffees take on Stoke City next hoping to put an end to their miserable away form.
