As role models go, David Beckham, is not a bad choice, the former Manchester United star is one of the biggest brands in football and an internationally recognized figure.
Liverpool star Emre Can launched his fashion collection at H&M this week, following in the footsteps of Beckz.
Can donned a smart suit at his launch in the Frankfurt H&M store. The midfielder of Turkish origin launched a fashion range labeled ‘Selected by Emre Can’.
A tie typically costs €10 while his most expensive jacket is going for €60 and early figures in his hometown suggest the collection is selling well.
Can was asked by local reporters what he thought about being likened to Beckham: “This is a great honor, after all, David Beckham is a fashion icon.”
The 24-year-old revealed that they like to dress sharp at Liverpool and that they even drive to the stadium wearing suits.
“In any case, a lot has changed. With my Liverpool team we even drive in suits to the stadium. I think footballers are just more in the limelight these days, and suits just look good,” he added.
Liverpool fans hoping to see an underwear range may not get their wish just yet.
Can revealed that he feels more comfortable modeling suits over boxer shorts.
“I would have to think about that. I feel more comfortable in suits than in boxer shorts, so at least in front of the camera,” he said.
And there you have it. You can now look like Can and wear suits designed by the Reds fashion icon.
