Everton have finally found a striker capable of replacing Romelu Lukaku according to Liverpool based journalist Phil Kirkbride.
Speaking to Turkish newspaper the Milliyet, Kirkbride revealed that Everton have filed the void left by Lukaku joining Manchester United.
Tosun may not be able to match Lukaku in terms of raw, physical power but he was described as being a better finisher.
The 26-year-old was also praised for working on the physical side of his game and covering 10km in the 2-0 win against Brighton at Goodison Park.

“After six months of trying Everton finally replaced Romelu Lukaku, in other words they filled a £75 million void with £25 million,” Kirkbride was quoted as saying.
“Tosun doesn’t look as though he can’t bully defenders, hold them off and frighten them like Lukaku could.
“Tosun has been working on his fitness, he covered over 10km against Brighton but he isn’t blessed with pace and is not a natural athlete.
“Koeman said he was unable to improve Lukaku’s finishing.
“Sam Allardyce feels Tosun can replace Lukaku, he has shown he is a better finisher but he needs to keep improving physically.”
Tosun had an impressive finishing record since his Gaziantepspor days.
Under the stewardship of Senol Gunes at Besiktas is where he really excelled, becoming a complete forward, strong in the air, lethal from range and precise from inside the box.
The Turkey international was also renowned for his ability to contribute to attacking moves and provide assists.
He has yet to setup a goal at Everton but has created four goalscoring chances over his last two games.
Tosun has two goals in his last two games for the Toffees and is expected to start against Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
