Newcastle & Everton Told They Will Have To Pay €30m After Sending Club Officials To Turkey On Transfer Mission

Garry Rodrigues

Turkish-Football reported yesterday that Newcastle and Everton will send club officials to keep tabs on Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues.

The Istanbul giants expect both clubs to send club officials for the Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbahce.

Both clubs have made an inquiry for the player and held initial talks.

Galatasaray have issued a response to the interested parties, underlining that they want €30 million for the winger according to the Hurriyet newspaper.

Per the source, the Lions want to keep Rodrigues on at the club and that only a €30m bid could tempt them into selling the 27-year-old.

The star winger is almost certain to start for Galatasaray in the Intercontinental derby against Fenerbahce.

Rodrigues has been in impressive form this season seven goals and providing nine assists in 30 appearances this season.

A victory would almost knock Fenerbahce out of the title race, creating a nine-point gap between the Yellow Canaries and league leaders Galatasaray.

That is easier said than done however, as the Lions have not beat their Istanbul rivals away from home since 1999.
