Arsenal crushed AC Milan 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the Europa League Last 16 second-leg tie on Thursday.

The Gunners went through to the quarter-finals after winning 5-1 on aggregate but it could have all been so different.

Turkey international star Hakan Calhanoglu opened the scoring in the first half with a stunning goal from range giving David Ospina absolutely no chance in goal.

The Gunners equalised just minutes after from the penalty spot but the replays showed that Danny Welbeck dived to win the spot kick.

AC Milan never ended up recovering and the North London based outfit went onto score two more goals to wrap up a convincing win.

Calhanoglu now has four goals and eight assists in all competitions for the Rossoneri this season.
