Hakan Calhanoglu gave Arsenal a real scare when he opened to scoring in the Europa League Last 16 second leg with a cracking long-range effort.

Alas it was not meant to be as a dubious penalty decision a few minutes later resulted in Arsenal equalizing and the going onto score a further two goals.

The Italians felt a little hard done by and it is not difficult to see why as nothing seemed to go their way.

Calhanoglu was not disheartened after the game.

The Turkey international shared a photograph from the match and said the Rossoneri bow out of the competition with their pride intact and head held high.

Calhanoglu now has four goals and eight assists in all competitions this season.
