Everton Star Joins Likes Of Cengiz Under, Emre Mor & Enes Unal In Turkey National Team Call Up

Everton striker Cenk Tosun has been called up by Mircea Lucescu to the latest Turkey national team squad.

Tosun has two goals in his last two games for Everton.

The 26-year-old has actually found the back of the net 16 times if you count the goals he scored for Besiktas.

Tosun will be competing with Villarreal striker Enes Unal for a spot up front.

Lucescu has selected a youthful side including 20-year-old Freiburg centre-back Caglar Soyuncu, 20-year-old Roma ace Cengiz Under and 18-year-old Trabzonspor attacking midfielder Abdulkadr Omur among several others.

Turkey take on Ireland next Friday followed by a trip to the Balkans against Montenegro.

The national team failed to book a place in the World Cup this summer so it will be back to the drawing board for head coach Lucescu.
