Liverpool vs Watford – Confirmed Starting Lineups: Klopp Switches Round Midfield

Liverpool take on Watford at Anfield Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League before the international break.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will be hoping to build upon their 15 games unbeaten run at home in the league.

Only league leaders Manchester City the only other side to match that record, who coincidently the Reds will face in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Liverpool have a great record against Watford, winning nine of their 10 top-flight home games against the Hornets, losing just once in August 1999.

Jurgen Klopp has no fresh injury concerns heading into the Watford match.

Nathaniel Clyne has recovered from injury but will not be match fit in time for the Saturday game.

Klopp received a double injury boost in midfield with Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson returning.

Klopp had Wijnaldum, Milner, Emre Can, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain available for selection heading into the game.

Can was in Germany next week unveiling his new clothing range but has returned.

The midfielder of Turkish origin has kept his place in the side and will be joined by Henderson and Wijnaldum as Klopp changes up his midfield setup.

Additionally, Joe Gomez has returned.

Gomez was also called up to the England squad this week and replaces right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Firmino are all start in attack.

There is just one change to Watford’s starting side with Britos in for Janmaat.

The Hornets have however, switched to a 5-4-1 formation.

Also Cathcart returns to the bench having been injured since August.
