Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic revealed that he is pleased with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) decision to reschedule the Süper Lig game against Sivasspor.
The match was originally supposed to be played on Monday 9 March but has now been moved to Sunday 8 March.
Beşiktaş submitted a request to have the game moved as they will face Club Brugge in the Europa League Last 16 on Thursday 12 March.
“I gave the team a two day break as we have had a very busy fixture period, now we will return to training on Wednesday and can focus on the Sivasspor game,” Bilic told Eurosport Tr.
“If we had played on Monday it would have been very tough to go to Belgium and play just a few days after, this gives us an extra day.”
