Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to send a message to his close friend and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

The pair went to the same primary school and are both key members of the Germany national team. Ozil and Neuer went to the Gesamtschule Berger Feld school which is close to Schalke’s Veltins Arena.

Gesamtschule Berger Feld school is one of Germany’s largest secondary schools in Germany and is well known for its pupils going on to play for Schalke.

Ozil took to Instagram to wish Neuer a happy birthday and included the caption, “Happy Birthday Bro.”
