Portuguese giants Benfica have been linked with a shock move for Everton striker Cenk Tosun.
The Turkey international striker only joined the Toffees in January for £26 million from Besiktas. Despite a slow start to his Everton career, the prolific striker has found his feet at Goodison Park and netted a brace to earn his side a victory against Stoke City.
According to the Portuguese outlet A Bola, Benfica are prepared to offer Everton a player-plus-cash deal to try and land Tosun this summer.
A Bola claims that Tosun is on Benfica’s radar and that they are poised to offer £7m and Anderson Talisca for Tosun’s services.
Talisca has recently been linked with the likes of Manchester United in recent weeks.
However, it is hard to imagine Tosun wanting to leave the Premier League for the Portuguese League just six months after arriving. Furthermore, the 26-year-old is enjoying life at Everton and has just struck form.
