Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould stepped in for Arsene Wenger – who had lost his voice – at the pre-game press conference.
Bould confirmed that there is a chance Alexandre Lacazette could feature against Stoke but that they are monitoring the striker’s situation closely.
Lacazette has been out for over two months with a knee injury.
Meanwhile, star midfielder Jack Wilshere is available for selection despite pulling out of the England national team with an injury. Germany international Mesut Ozil is fit to start despite returning early from national team duty.
In other injury news, Sead Kolasinac picked up a knock on international duty and is a doubt while Aaron Ramsey is unlikely to feature despite returning to training this week.
